Thank You to Our Community Sponsors

Working together to create success for women in business.

Our Association launched in September 2022 in order to meet a growing demand for additional support for women in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County to achieve economic success and grow their businesses. The support we have received along the way has been simply incredible, and we were enabled to move forward and become incorporated as a non-profit society in March, 2023.

After a year+ of discovery sessions with potential members, our mandate is clear. As a priority, members are seeking opportunities to network with one another in a safe, welcoming and inclusive space. It is clear that we also want to have a little fun along the way and support our members with interesting events, educational workshops, and addressing issues we face in a candid manner.

While we are encouraged by our results so far, we recognize that we still have a lot of work to do and people to meet. If you know someone who would benefit from learning about our organization,  please don't hesitate to introduce us.

We must open the doors, and we must see to it that they remain open, so that others can pass through.

WIBA will continue to challenge gender inequality and advocate with businesses and all levels of government to better support women.
