Our Association launched in September 2022 in order to meet a growing demand for additional support for women in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County to achieve economic success and grow their businesses. The support we have received along the way has been simply incredible, and we were enabled to move forward and become incorporated as a non-profit society in March, 2023.
After a year+ of discovery sessions with potential members, our mandate is clear. As a priority, members are seeking opportunities to network with one another in a safe, welcoming and inclusive space. It is clear that we also want to have a little fun along the way and support our members with interesting events, educational workshops, and addressing issues we face in a candid manner.
While we are encouraged by our results so far, we recognize that we still have a lot of work to do and people to meet. If you know someone who would benefit from learning about our organization, please don't hesitate to introduce us.

Women in Business Association Strathcona County would like to acknowledge that we are working on the traditional land of the First Peoples, which is now known as Strathcona County. We acknowledge and honour the many First Nations including the Cree, Dene, Stoney, Saulteaux and Blackfoot, along with the Métis Nations who have lived in and cared for these lands since time immemorial.
