Sounds dramatic, but it is true! Our Mission is literally to support our members to achieve economic success. That has the potential to change their lives; the lives of the people they surround themselves with; and our community as a whole.
The magical world we are building doesn’t happen without the incredible support of our entire community. There are multiple opportunities to get involved, and you can contribute a little or a lot. We are grateful for whatever you are able to give, if it is just in this moment in time, or as an ongoing supporter.
IN ADDITION TO VOLUNTEERS, WE ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING:
If you are interested in submitting proposals for any of these things, please reach out to us. EMAIL: info@wibasc.ca.
Join our team of dedicated ambassadors that volunteer at our various events to support individuals who might be new to our organization; might be living with a visible or invisible disability; or would just otherwise benefit from some more support.
You are welcome to volunteer for one event, or many.
We are still developing strategy, systems and procedures. We can use support with all kinds of things! If any of these look like something you would be interested in, please reach out! It can be for a short-term temporary project, or a bigger commitment of time if you have the capacity.
VOLUNTEER FOR A COMMITTEE
Committee work can be a bigger commitment, volunteers can expect to donate 2-4 hours per month to support, sometimes more depending on the scope of the project we are working on at the moment.
At this time, while we appreciate everyone's generosity, we are only able to accept support from individuals with skills and training in these matters.
VOLUNTEER SPECIAL PROJECTS
VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME AS A SPEAKER OR WORKSHOP HOST
We are currently seeking qualified speakers and workshop hosts to register their interest, ideas and submit their proposals. As opportunities emerge, applications will be considered from those who took the time to submit their proposals.
We will endeavour to offer these types of opportunities to our members first.
Note that the speaking opportunities are not intended to be an opportunity to "pitch" your business, but your business will receive recognition leading up to the event, at the event of course, and after the event on our social media accounts.
Margaret Mead - Anthropologist, Author and Feminist
We have mapped out some standard levels of sponsorship but we are open to your ideas, recommendations and proposals. We are not going to be able to always do everything but we are happy to have a thoughtful conversation with you about it!
Please share any ideas you might have - EMAIL: info@wibasc.ca. We would love to hear from you! Learn more about sponsoring one of our events on our sponsorship page.
